Jeannie from Amongst Stringfields approached me about photographing her adorable son, Mile’s One Year Cake Smash Session. We wanted to create something modern and fun that a a 1 year old would also enjoy. Because of hot summer temperatures in the Texas, we decided to bring the hot outdoors into the cool indoors for a fun and modern Peter Pan in Neverland theme.

In order to best plan and give all of the amazing vendors that collaborated with us a visual idea of what we had in mind, Jeannie and I created a mood board & quick sketch of the idea we had in mind. I love seeing the final result and comparing it to our initial mood board. Everything turned out more perfect than we imagined. If you are planning a birthday party, cake smash session, or anything that requires visuals, it always helps to create a visual map or mood board of what you have in mind. This helps you not get off track and focus on what you need and don’t need.

We had a lot of fun creating a chic and modern Peter Pan playland theme for Mile’s first year cake smash. It wouldn’t have been possible with the following amazing vendors that made it possible. Keep a lookout for our published feature soon!
