Inspiration for some upcoming wedding collateral we have been working on.
This week I was fortunate enough to attend a class on studio photography lighting led by Gabriel & Marcos Gurolla. I’ll be the first to admit that I know nothing about photography, especially when it comes to technique. I’ve always been more of just about the visual composition of an image. I knew it was something I needed to learn if I wanted to step up my game.
The class turned out to be a lot of fun! The best part was meeting humble and talented individuals who were willing to help us ‘get better’. Check out some photos from the class, and a photo I took of the model. I will post more photos of the actual shoot soon!

My sister and her Fiancé recently asked me to take their engagement photos. I cannot believe another sister is getting married already! It was just a year ago that I was able to take my other beautiful sister’s engagement photos. I’m looking forward to posting my favorites soon! In the meantime, below is a sneak peak of the shoot and a shout out to my wonderful cousin and assistant Valentin, for helping me out a great deal!
My amazing girlfriend Yasmin surprised me with some Bronco tickets for the end of October and believe me when I say that I am looking forward to this trip. A Sunday night primetime game is what I am talking about. Peyton Manning and Drew Brees should be a helluva matchup despite how the season has gone for the teams. I think Denver is on to something, but not quite there yet. On top of the fact that I am going to see the game, I get to visit family! Nothing is better than that. Football and family, yup. =)
Andrew was one of the lucky ones who recently got an iphone 5 (maybe he’ll decide to grace us with a lil’ review of the phone thus far soon), meaning that I also upgraded to his old iphone 4. Yay! I’ve never been one to really care about what kind of case my phone carried, as long as it protected.
If you know me, you know that my butterfingers don’t even deserve anything fancier than an old school, brick Nokia. Accidently shattering this one, is just not an option. So lately, I’ve been on a hunt for the perfect iphone case. So it happens, I’ve also been obsessing for anything white and/or gold. So minimal and classy. I found these beauties on pinterest, now to start eliminating …
Here is a photo book I recently designed for my friend, Karina’s wedding.
Everything was just beautiful. Check out more of my wedding photography work here.
It’s been a while since we we have updated on any news. Every week seems to fly by! Heck, August is almost over! This month we have been busy wrapping up wedding stationaries and some identity work for new clients. I also celebrated my 28th birthday this month! Seriously, 28?! I am still in disbelief.
This past week …
1. I enjoyed some delicious breakfast at Ripe Eatery. They have the best eggs benedict! I always leave on a food coma!
2. El Paso also enjoyed a short lived rain storm! We don’t get much rain here in El Paso, so when we do, it’s a reason to celebrate!
3. I also caught up on editing photos I took for a friend’s wedding. Cannot wait to show her the final photographs.
4. I started working as an art education private instructor, this past weekend our lesson was one-point perspective. It’s been a great learning experience. How was everyone’s weekend?
My friend, Danny (& everyone else), kept talking about Mad Men, that I finally jumped the wagon. Mad Men Yourself was too much fun. I Mad Men’d Andrew and I giving a presentation. Aren’t we cute?
If I’m not reading design blogs or watching Bravo on my free time, you can usually spot me drooling over at wedding blogs. I can look at them all day. I love all the tiny details that go into each wedding, from the design of the invites to the flowers of choice, to the very-much-dreamed-about wedding dress. So when we get a new job to design someone’s wedding invites, I am stoked to start. This is the current mood/inspiration board that is inspiring the next set of wedding invites we are working on for this summer.

We were pleasantly surprised when we saw that our Anna Caldarella business cards were featured on the front page of For Print Only. For Print Only is features an amazing collection of work that we admire daily, so we were naturally humbled and excited about the mention. :)

I can never have enough of these “stuff X says” videos.
This is another of my faves. Have all you Android users experienced any of these already? Enjoy.
