I wanted Olive’s 1st Birthday Celebration to be perfect. Like every mom, I imagined memories of pinterest-like memories, a too-pretty-to-eat birthday cake, tables filled with beautiful candy and sweets, & endless balloons and flowers. And then reality hits. And then the days seem busier. And then your budget isn’t what you thought it would be. Panic Mode begins.
I admit to creating too many pinterest boards dedicated solely to this special day, not being able to decide on a theme. What happened to the simple days of just a basic cake and balloons? As much thought, I decided to go with an Andy Warhol inspired celebration that hopefully she can appreciate when she’s older. We decided to keep it small and intimate with family and close friends and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I was so busy hosting and trying to be in the moment, that I didn’t get to capture as many photos as I would have liked to. Below are a few from the big day. Enjoy.
